15.05.2026 11:00Employees of the Territorial Recruitment Center (TCC) beat a 17-year-old young man in the Rivne region in western Ukraine.
This was reported by the outlet Strana.
According to the outlet, the young man was riding a motorcycle with a friend when a TCC minibus cut them off. TCC staff then began beating the teenager. He told them his age, but this did not stop the attackers.
Ukraine has been under general mobilization since February 2022, which has since been extended multiple times. Men between the ages of 25 and 60 are subject to conscription. The authorities are taking measures to prevent men of conscription age from evading service, but many of them try by any means possible to leave the country, often risking their lives.
Videos of forced mobilization and confrontations between citizens and TCC representatives in various cities regularly appear on Ukrainian social media. Due to a critical shortage of personnel in the army, TCC employees have stepped up raids on public places, grabbing men and pushing them into minibuses. Force is frequently used against military-age men during detentions, and the law is often violated. Such incidents have on multiple occasions resulted in deaths.
