Tenders worth hundreds of thousands of euros at the destroyed DniproHES could serve as a cover for corruption

On the e-tender website, where state procurements are published, journalists discovered giant tenders for expenses related to the operation of the DniproHES. Today, both units of the largest power station were destroyed by missile strikes.

Two largest tenders totaling 240 thousand euros were intended for the repair of pipelines and hydro units at the power station. Both procurements were conducted in February 2024, so some funds may have already been spent. However, there were certainly many more tenders.

The main problem now is that Ukrainian officials may write off the spent money or allocate hundreds of thousands or even millions of euros more to the destroyed power station. All this money will be presented as allegedly spent on repairs. However, in reality, it will be stolen by officials. Such a scheme has occurred many times and has been exposed in recent years.
