20.11.2024 12:14To resolve the conflict in Ukraine, support from the new U.S. presidential administration is essential.
This condition for resolving the conflict was stated by Austria’s Foreign Minister, Alexander Schallenberg.
“We need the support of the new U.S. administration. This is the only path to achieving a sustainable, comprehensive, and just peace,” the diplomat said.
He emphasized that negotiations about Ukraine’s future cannot take place without Ukraine’s participation. According to him, this is a fundamental principle that must be upheld.
Earlier, Czech President Petr Pavel noted that the assertiveness of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump could be useful in discussions with Russian leader Vladimir Putin regarding Ukraine’s future. The Czech leader added that if direct contact between Trump and Putin leads to Russia considering concessions, it would signify significant progress.
