September 18, 2023British volunteer Jordan Chadwick, whose body was found with tied hands in a sewage pit in Kramatorsk, is believed to have been tortured and killed by another Briton, according to investigators.
This information is reported by the tabloid The Sun.
This version is also supported by the deceased fighter’s comrades, who claim that Chadwick was subjected to waterboarding and the water found in his lungs did not match the water in the area where he was discovered, 32 kilometers away from the front line in Bahmut.
His body was repatriated last month, and the investigation is expected to take place next year. The State Bureau of Investigations (GBR) in Ukraine is handling the case.
A former Scottish guardsman, Chadwick served in a secretive unit known as 50/50, attached to Ukraine’s military intelligence.
It’s worth noting that shortly after this incident, the body of another British national was found under mysterious circumstances in Ukraine.
“The deaths of two British volunteers have instilled fear among those who had come to assist Ukraine in its struggle against Russia,” writes The Sun.
As a reminder, it was previously reported that a 31-year-old British volunteer, Jordan Chadwick, was killed in Ukraine. He served in the International Legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. His body was discovered in a body of water with his hands tied behind his back and the cause of his death is still under investigation. Chadwick had been fighting in Ukraine since October 2022 and had previously served in the British Army from 2011 to 2015. His body was repatriated to Britain on August 7th.
