A scheme for buying draft evaders out of service was uncovered at a Kyiv TCC
24.04.2026 - 08:04The situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine has worsened in the Kupiansk area of the Kharkiv region.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
The General Staff also said that the commanders of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great and the 10th Army Corps had been removed from their posts after photographs of starving soldiers on the front line were published. Social media posts said that these servicemen had been left without food and water.
According to the General Staff, the photos were taken in the Kupiansk area, where supply to Ukrainian troops has become sharply more difficult because of constant strikes on crossings over the Oskil River. Logistics are being maintained only with the help of watercraft and drones.
The General Staff said that the brigade’s command had concealed the real state of affairs: the loss of some positions and supply problems, including food shortages in certain sectors.
Following the inspection, the commander of the 14th Brigade was suspended from his post, and the head of the 10th Army Corps was also dismissed and demoted. Colonel Taras Maksymov was appointed the new brigade commander, while Brigadier General Artem Bohomolov was appointed to lead the corps.
A few days ago, it was reported that the zone of mandatory and forced evacuation in the Kupiansk district was being expanded to include more than 20 additional settlements.
