The Defense Committee of the Verkhovna Rada voted to remove Bezuhla from her position as deputy

The Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has voted to prepare a resolution to remove MP Maryana Bezuhla from her position as deputy and exclude her from the committee.

Bezuhla herself announced this on her Facebook page.

While the committee can prepare the resolution, only the full parliamentary assembly can approve the removal. Nevertheless, Bezuhla noted, “they continue to try.”

“Fedir Venislavskyi proposed it, Irina Friz commented, and the committee chairman Oleksandr Zavitnevych (whose secretary had a Russian passport for four years) prepared it. ‘Servant of the People’ and ‘European Solidarity’ in the committee are working together. They don’t solve problems but try to destroy those who don’t stay silent and try to fix things,” stated Bezuhla.

It is worth noting that on July 15, the Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence voted to remove Bezuhla from her position as head of the subcommittee on democratic civilian control. Two days later, on July 17, Bezuhla left the “Servant of the People” faction on her own accord. In doing so, she criticized the state of affairs within the faction and the parliament as a whole.
