“The EU plan to partially admit Ukraine amounts to a declaration of war on Hungary,” – Orbán said

The European Union’s plan to partially admit Ukraine in 2027 by bypassing Hungary’s veto is a declaration of war on Budapest.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said this on the social network X.

“This new plan is an open declaration of war on Hungary. They are ignoring the decision of the Hungarian people and are determined to overthrow the Hungarian government by any means necessary,” the prime minister wrote.

According to him, Brussels wants Hungary’s Tisza Party to come to power in order to lift the veto on this issue.

Earlier, Politico reported that European countries had developed five steps to grant Ukraine partial membership in the European Union as early as 2027.
