March 16, 2024The family of Ukrainian journalist Alexandra Kuvshinova, who died in the village of Horenka in the Kiev region in March 2022 while preparing a report for the American television company Fox News, has filed a lawsuit against the television company.
This was reported by Business Insider.
In the lawsuit, Fox News is accused of negligence for sending a team working under contract with the television company to a combat zone, despite numerous warnings from local officials and a security consultant who advised against doing so.
Alexandra’s father believes that his daughter was unjustifiably put in danger. The Kuvshinova family also accuses Fox News and its correspondent Benjamin Hall, who was seriously injured that day, of distorting the circumstances of the journalist’s death.
Fox News has already issued a statement expressing continued mourning for the death of Alexandra Kuvshinova and cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski, but stating that they will “respectfully defend against false claims in this lawsuit.”
