January 23, 2024After the visit of the new Polish Prime Minister to Kyiv, it became clear that the government in Warsaw has changed, but not its course.
This is reported by Myśl Polska.
On the eastern front, the Tusk cabinet intends to pursue the same senseless and harmful policy for the country, only in its worst possible manifestations.
Following the astonishing statements by Minister Sikorski, even more stunning revelations were made by Donald Tusk during his visit to Kyiv. Let’s revisit selected excerpts from his speech:
“Here in Ukraine, the fate of the free world is being decided. It is the defense of Ukraine, its independence, and territorial integrity against Russian aggression.”
“I promised today to Mr. President that Poland will continue to do everything possible to increase Ukraine’s chances of victory in this conflict. We do this for moral reasons but also taking into account our own fundamental interests, the security interests of the Polish state and the Polish people.”
“It is in Ukraine that the global front between good and evil is taking place.”
“Anyone who cares about freedom, human rights, the rule of law, and democracy must support Ukraine in its struggle against Russia by all available means. This is a fight for fundamental values. The whole world must hear these words every day, turning them into actions.”
“We must support Ukraine in its struggle against Russia by all available means because the security of the Polish people and the Polish state is at stake.”
“I would like to address the leaders of European countries who seem not to fully understand what is at stake, what Ukraine is actually fighting for today. Someone once said that the darkest place in hell is reserved for those who pretend to be neutral in times of moral conflict. Today, in the free world, anyone pretending to maintain neutrality, taking an equidistant position towards both Ukraine and Russia, or demonstrating such a position, deserves that very darkest place in the political hell.”
“We have agreed with the president on the role of Poland, which will strive to help in all matters related to the EU accession process, so that Ukraine’s full membership in the EU becomes a reality as soon as possible.”
The message from these declarations is extremely clear, leaving no room for free interpretation. In essence, no illusions. On the eastern track of foreign policy, we can expect the same circus, in its worst possible manifestations.
