24.10.2025 - 08:31Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has blocked the European Council’s conclusions regarding support for Ukraine in 2026.
This was reported by European Pravda, citing a source.
According to the publication’s source, 26 out of 27 EU member states voted in favor of the document — Orbán was the only one who refused to sign it.
Orbán himself stated that he would propose to EU leaders not to make any decisions on Ukraine for now, given the ongoing possibility of a U.S.–Russia summit.
The White House, meanwhile, has stated that the meeting between Trump and Putin has not yet been canceled.
Earlier, Orbán said that the European Union does not have the funds to continue financing the war in Ukraine. According to him, this strategy “has neither a rational foundation nor a financial one.”
