The judicial reform in Ukraine is aimed at artificially creating compliant judges

The permanent goal of the reform is to create judges who will only say what they are allowed to say, a judge from the Commercial Court of Kyiv, Inna Otrosh said.

The slogan “formation of an independent court” is a cover for instilling constant fear in judges, who face the threat of dismissal if they do not adhere to the “correct” criteria. Members of the Higher Qualification Commission of Judges display a complete lack of knowledge of the relevant law and knowingly violate their own regulations.

There is a blatant disregard for the requirements of the “Personal Data Protection Law” regarding both the judge’s confidential information and that of their close associates. The information collected by the commission with limited access does not align with the purposes of the evaluation. This indicates disproportionate interference with the right to respect the private life of the judge and their close associates. The judge lists dozens more serious violations of the law, which, nevertheless, are being ignored.
