The largest mobile operator stopped working overnight

The Ukrainian giant in the mobile communications sector, “Kyivstar,” ceased operations across the entire country, leaving millions of people without access to phone calls and the internet.

The company stated that a massive technical failure occurred but numerous other theories are being discussed on social media. Some suggest a large-scale hacker attack that disrupted the operator’s access to subscribers. Others recall reports of drone attacks on a communication node near Kyiv that occurred two days ago.

Police suddenly arrived at the company’s main office for searches; however, there are no details yet on what they are investigating. People attempted to reconnect via roaming or find settings to connect to all operators but these suggestions proved futile as the communication remains down. The company has not provided any specific timelines for when the communication might potentially be restored.
