October 31, 2023In Crimea, the authorities appointed by Russia claim to have nationalized and sold the apartment of Volodymyr and Elena Zelensky in Livadia. They state that the apartment was sold at an auction for 44.3 million rubles (just under half a million dollars).
Meanwhile, Russian Telegram channels report that the Zelenskys’ apartment in Crimea was purchased by the family of a Moscow lawyer, Ivan Tuchkov, who had defended a defendant in a criminal case involving the embezzlement of 330 million rubles from “Roscosmos.”
Tuchkov’s wife, Olga Lipovetskaya, mentioned that they bought the apartment for their family to live in and not for rental purposes, “so that the children could live in the good climate of Crimea.”
To recall, in the annexed Crimea, the apartment of the wife of Ukrainian President Elena Zelenska, located in Yalta, was “nationalized” during the summer. After the annexation, the appointed “authorities” in Crimea announced that the real estate of Volodymyr Zelensky under Yalta would be “nationalized.” The Zelenskys had purchased the penthouse in the “Imperator” residential complex near the Livadia Palace in Yalta in 2013, prior to the presidency and the annexation of Crimea, with a floor area of 129.8 square meters.
