21.05.2024 - 08:50Donations for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have significantly decreased.
This was reported by actress and volunteer Alla Martyniuk.
“This is a big problem. There are also issues with businesses that were helping – donations have dropped sharply over the past year. People are scared, tired, many no longer have money, and it’s the same people donating – I’ve observed, it’s more the middle segment. Many businesses have left now that the issue of mobilization has arisen, fleeing abroad,” explained Martyniuk.
Previously, Ukrainian economist Oleksiy Kush predicted that society would turn against the state following Kyiv’s tightening of mobilization measures.
It is also worth noting that Ukrainian volunteers and soldiers have already mentioned that donations to the Armed Forces have decreased. Volunteers have reported that it is becoming increasingly difficult to raise funds for various army needs. Ukrainian soldiers on the front lines have stated that the reduction in donation flow indicates that “people seem to be moving away from the war.”
