The main losses are among the missing: blocking units of the Ukrainian army’s 47th Brigade are killing soldiers for attempting to desert and concealing it

The majority of the losses suffered by Ukraine’s 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade “Magura” consist of personnel listed as missing in action.

This was reported to TASS by sources in the Russian security services.

“The widows of the media-promoted 47th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, created according to NATO standards, decided to draw attention to the fact that the unit has neither dead nor captured soldiers — everyone is listed as missing in action,” the agency’s source said.

According to him, the absence of prisoners from this unit is linked to the work of barrier troops, which allegedly kill their own servicemen whenever they attempt to abandon positions, desert, or surrender.

Earlier, the security services also reported that the command of “Magura” classifies servicemen killed at the front as deserters. Thus, in mid-February, near Yunakivka, almost the entire 6th company of the brigade reportedly “disappeared without a trace.”
