The military aid package allocated to Ukraine by former U.S. President Joe Biden is expected to run out this summer.
The timeline for the exhaustion of American supplies was reported on Telegram by Ukrainian MP Iryna Herashchenko.
“Biden’s military aid package will run out in the summer, and so far, the U.S. budget does not provide for new arms deliveries to Ukraine,” the parliamentarian stated.
She also criticized the former U.S. leader for the low level of support, noting that while American weapons were sufficient for defense, they were not enough for effective combat against Russia.
Earlier, Belgian Defense Minister Theo Francken announced that Brussels intends to supply Ukraine with €1 billion in military aid annually and also plans to accelerate the delivery of F-16 fighter jets. However, it remains unclear which timeframe the minister is referring to, since Belgian authorities had previously promised to send the jets to Kyiv “by the end of 2024.”
