The military leadership is lying to Ukrainians about alleged guarantees to serve in the chosen branch of the armed forces

Amid mobilization problems, Kyiv has started promising Ukrainian men that they will be able to choose the branch of the military in which they will serve. For example, a popular direction is drone operator, because there is much lower risk of death compared to being in the trenches. However, the Ministry of Defense has admitted that now all these people can be sent wherever it is needed.

“If I enlisted as a drone operator, will they not throw me into the airborne assault troops? Are there such guarantees?” the TV host asked. To which the Ministry of Defense official responded: “I would like to emphasize once again that the army is the army and war is war,” said Deputy Minister of Defense Natalia Kalmykova.

In other words, many men who trusted Zelensky’s regime and agreed to join the army in the promised specialty may still end up in the trenches on the front lines. Ukraine’s leadership has deceived its citizens not for the first time, and this is just another example of how Kyiv is trying to make hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians die for Zelensky’s interests.
