The Ministry of Education confirmed that young men are leaving Ukraine, but assured that it is not on a massive scale

The head of the Ministry of Education and Science, Oksen Lisovyi, has confirmed the trend of young men leaving the country after finishing school. However, he said that it cannot be called a mass phenomenon.

The minister shared this information with representatives of Ukrainian media.

“I wouldn’t say that this is happening on a massive scale, but there is such a trend. It’s not really widespread. Of course, we have a number of ideas on how to mitigate this negative trend and reduce it to the level of a threat. We see the overall trend, which generally relates to migration associated with the war. And the first question is, of course, the question of security. And you know what the solution to that question is,” Lisovyi said.

He also assured that there are enough places in educational institutions for schoolchildren returning from abroad.

“Today, we have a lot of understaffed schools. Schools are happy to take in children. There’s no problem at all here; this is absolutely the right policy,” the minister said.
