The Ministry of Sports of Ukraine has approved new criteria for sports-related enterprises to receive exemptions from military conscription

The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine has approved new criteria for identifying enterprises, institutions, and organizations deemed critical to the national economy in the field of physical culture and sports during special periods.

This is outlined in Decree No. 7742 dated December 23, 2024.

New Criteria for Reserving Sports-Related Enterprises:

1. Supporting the development of physical culture and sports and/or the Olympic movement in Ukraine and/or non-Olympic sports.
2. Ensuring the organization of events listed in the Unified Calendar of Physical Culture, Wellness, Sports Events, and Competitions of Ukraine for the respective year.
3. Supporting the training of athletes on national teams in sports recognized in Ukraine.
4. Implementing anti-doping regulations in sports activities.
5. Organizing and conducting national events in physical culture, sports, and physical-sport rehabilitation for individuals with disabilities, military personnel, and maintaining Paralympic and Deaflympic training facilities.

It is worth noting that Ukraine previously allowed clergy to be exempted from mobilization, deeming them critically important to the economy.
