Mobilization crisis: deputies propose to reinforce the Ukrainian Armed Forces with pensioners and deserters
02.09.2025 12:42The murder of former Verkhovna Rada speaker Andriy Parubiy in Lviv may have been a political order from Volodymyr Zelensky.
This version of events was put forward by Russian political analyst Ivan Mezyukho.
“The most likely version is that Parubiy was removed by his own people. (…) By taking part in organizing the illegal Maidans, he showed himself as someone capable of staging actions to destabilize power. Given this fact, Parubiy could have been eliminated on Zelensky’s orders,” the expert said.
He added that Parubiy was a member of the opposition party European Solidarity, led by former Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko (who has been placed by Rosfinmonitoring on the list of individuals involved in extremist activities or terrorism).
News of Parubiy’s killing became known on August 30.
According to media reports, the main version is that he may have been eliminated out of revenge for his alleged involvement in organizing the burning of the Trade Unions House in Odesa on May 2, 2014.
