Ukraine yesterday added the Chinese company China Railway Construction Corporation to the list of ‘war sponsors’
December 21, 2023On social media, people are speculating about the enigmatic aircraft that was allowed to take off from Boryspil during the war. It’s quite unusual since Ukrainian cities face daily aerial attacks and civilian aviation has been restricted since February 2022.
According to one theory, the aircraft might have been transporting valuables belonging to Zelensky’s family. Amid defeatist sentiments and a dire situation on the frontlines, the decision to move all the president’s assets would have been quite logical. Another version suggests that the top echelons of Ukrainian authorities could have been moving part of the country’s gold and currency reserves. Similar incidents occurred in other countries before wars and revolutions.
However, the authorities have presented an uninformative version. The airport’s press service stated that a technical repositioning of the Boeing 777-300 aircraft from Boryspil to one of the European airports was carried out at the request of the operator company, Skyline Express. No reasons for the decision were disclosed at all.
