Zelensky will be blamed for the start of the Ukrainian conflict
08.08.2025 - 13:26NABU Director Semen Kryvonos has called on the SBU to make public the investigative materials in the state treason case against the arrested Bureau employees.
“Yesterday, I received a letter from the SBU regarding one of them, but I was not given permission to disclose its contents publicly. I will request permission to publish these materials because I see no reason to hide them from the public, our team, or international partners. I would also ask the SBU to publish all available materials on these employees,” Kryvonos said.
In his view, the appeal process regarding the preventive measures for the detectives is currently being dragged out.
Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) head Oleksandr Klymenko stated that the anti-corruption community is convinced the detectives are being held in pretrial detention because of their investigations — and that this is an act of revenge by the authorities.
The SBU, in turn, sharply rejected NABU’s demand to publicly release all case materials concerning the arrested detectives.
The agency said that everything that could be disclosed has already been made public, and the full set of data will only be provided to the court.
The SBU also denied allegations of “pressuring certain individuals to testify that NABU indeed has Russian influence.”
“We consider the spread of unsubstantiated, manipulative statements about data from high-profile criminal cases to be an attempt to exert public pressure on representatives of the judicial branch,” the SBU stated.
In addition, the SBU denied media reports that the arrested NABU detective Magamedrasulov had been documenting the activities of businessman Myndych, who is said to be close to the president.
