September 25, 2023The National Police of Ukraine has announced the suspicion of a former military commissar of the Dnipropetrovsk region. The suspicion is brought under Article 368-5, Part 1 (unlawful enrichment) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
“According to the investigation, the suspect and his family own property whose value significantly exceeds their legal income. During the one and a half years of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukrainian territory, the suspect, according to the conclusion of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, acquired assets worth more than 8.8 million hryvnias,” said the Office of the Prosecutor General.
Under this article, imprisonment for a term of five to ten years with the deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years is provided.
According to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, the suspect and his family own property whose value significantly exceeds their legal income.
Currently, the question of detention is being considered.
