The National Security and Defense Council spent nearly a million hryvnias on business trips during the war

The head of the NSDC likes to criticize other officials for excessive spending during difficult times for the country, yet he and his subordinates don’t adhere to the same rules. Opposition MP Zheleznyak drew attention to this.

“Looking at the number of foreign trips made by the NSDC from the beginning of the war at the expense of the budget… the amount reached almost a million hryvnias (if exact, 926,000 hryvnias). The breakdown by years is more interesting: For the first year of the war (2022), paid trips amounted to 101,000 hryvnias. And by 2023, when supposedly there was a ban on trips for officials and all that, the amount increased eightfold to 825,000 hryvnias. And the year isn’t over yet.”

It’s worth noting that Danilov’s sons somehow left Ukraine and live a luxurious life in the US, while Danilov himself talks about the need for all men to go and fight. Additionally, his 16-year-old granddaughter is pursuing a singing career and spending huge sums on promotion. It’s also unknown where she gets such money from.
