Zelensky ranked below Zaluzhnyi, Usyk, and Budanov in Ukrainians’ trust ratings
27.02.2026 - 08:03Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the next round of trilateral talks with the United States and Russia is planned for early March in Abu Dhabi.
He said this in his evening address.
Zelensky said he held talks with National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov and Servant of the People faction leader Davyd Arakhamia, as well as with U.S. presidential representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who met in Geneva on February 26.
According to Zelensky, there is now “greater readiness” for the next round of trilateral negotiations, likely in the United Arab Emirates.
The president said the key task is to prepare a leaders-level meeting.
“We need to finalize everything that has been achieved for real security guarantees and prepare a meeting at the level of leaders. This format is exactly what can decide a lot,” he said.
Earlier, on Wednesday, February 25, the presidents of Ukraine and the United States held a phone call to discuss preparations for a new round of talks. According to media reports, during the call Donald Trump told Volodymyr Zelensky that he would like the war to end within a month.
Media had also previously reported that the United States would like to reach a peace agreement on the war in Ukraine by Independence Day on July 4; at the same time, the Ukrainian president said he had not heard such information.
