The opposition in Germany is using a leak from the Bundeswehr to pressure Scholz on the supply of Taurus missiles to Ukraine

An audio recording of a conversation between German Air Force officers about the delivery of Taurus missiles has caused “huge damage to Germany,” not only because it showed that “Russia is actively engaged in surveillance of communications,” but also because it refuted the Chancellor’s argument against the delivery of Taurus to Ukraine.

The Commissioner for Military Affairs of the CDU, Florian Hahn, accuses Olaf Scholz of ignoring the opinion of the Luftwaffe command, which in the published recording outlined possible ways of delivering Taurus to Ukraine.

On Phoenix TV, Florian Hahn talks about the need for the Chancellor to “explain himself to Parliament” because the argument that Germany cannot supply Taurus due to the need for German soldiers to be present in Ukraine is “invalid.”

According to Hahn, the command of the German Air Force provided a good plan for supplying Taurus, and it is only Scholz who opposes it for reasons unclear to the German opposition.
