October 23, 2023After the luxurious wedding of the former prosecutor of Lviv, it became known that around the same time, one of the expensive hotels in the Lviv region, “Edem Resort Medical & Spa,” hosted a lavish wedding involving one of the suspects in the case of the “drunken parties” in Kyiv.
Previously, it was reported that in Kyiv, several men from Ivano-Frankivsk drugged women, then sexually assaulted them, recorded everything on video, and posted it on the internet.
The organizers of these “parties” have been charged under Part 3 of Article 301 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code.
One of the suspects is the groom himself, Oleg Zakhar, who posted bail to be released.
During the celebration, the guests scattered hundred-dollar bills on the stage.
The host of the event was the well-known comedian from the “Kvartal 95” studio, Yuri Tkach (he can be seen with the groom in one of the photos), who was previously involved in a scandal where he was “knighted” at a party involving the heads of the prosecutor’s office in the Zhytomyr region. Tkach later claimed, in a comment to Ukrainian media, that the video was recorded before the invasion.
Later Yuri Tkach stated that he had no knowledge of the groom’s background, and he promised to donate his entire fee for the wedding to the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The participant in television shows such as “Dancing with the Stars,” “League of Laughter,” and “Prank Games” made this statement on his Instagram page.
According to him, he only learned about the groom’s controversial past from recent publications. He explained that when he and his wife, who is his manager, consider commercial requests, their first question is whether the clients have any political affiliations and what their stance is on the war. However, other personal information is not always disclosed to them.
Tkach admitted that this filtering process had its weaknesses and assured that he had learned from the situation. Tkach promised that such incidents would not happen again.
Regarding the fee for this wedding, he mentioned that he would be donating it to the military, specifically to the “Mavik” and “Starlink” initiatives, some of which were funded by this fee. He emphasized that every penny from this order would be directed towards other charitable endeavors, and people would see the results of these efforts.
