The patrol police officer who shot a man in Dnipro comes from a very influential and wealthy family.

This information was reported by former Ukrainian MP Igor Mosiychuk.

It turns out that Yegor Zvonkov is the son of millionaire Andriy Zvonkov, who served as the head of the Kremenchuk tax police for a long time and later as the deputy head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional tax police (he passed away suddenly in 2019), and Irina Zvonkova, a successful businesswoman.

His brother Maxim is a beneficiary and manages a number of companies: LLC “Tax and Legal Support,” LLC “Hunting and Fishing Farm ‘Bugayivske’,” PP “First Guest Yard” (seized by raiders), PRIVATE ENTERPRISE “PGD-SERVICE,” LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY “Lipovyy Ray” (one of the co-owners resides and conducts business in occupied Crimea), DAUGHTER ENTERPRISE OF LIPYVSKE LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY “Lipovyy Ray.”

In addition, the family owns three restaurants in Kremenchuk.

“Thanks to corruption and blatant raiding during the Yanukovych presidency, the Zvonkov family accumulated this and other wealth,” Mosiychuk said.

The late Andriy Zvonkov was not just one of many regional tax officials. During the tenure of Ukraine’s Minister of Incomes and Fees, Alexander Klymenko, there was a so-called “tax platform” in Kremenchuk led by Zvonkov.

By that time, Andriy Zvonkov was involved in handling massive sums of money through this “platform” and had direct connections with Kyiv, where he had very influential partners and sponsors who did not forget his wife and his son Yegor after his death.

Therefore, after the court proceedings, Yegor was placed under house arrest, as he is being shielded as much as possible by both the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and influential friends of his father.
