October 5, 2023The Pollster Research Institute asked the Poles whether it is worth providing financial assistance to Ukrainian refugees, reports the Polish newspaper Super Express.
The answer killed me. Suddenly it turned out that 60% of those surveyed were against helping Ukrainians; they answered “no” and “most likely not.”
“The Poles help the Ukrainians but they are more and more in favor of helping in a way that does not harm themselves. We sympathize with the refugees very much but it turned out that we cannot turn a blind eye to our own interests,” political scientist Kazimierz Kik commented on the situation.
