September 30, 2023The police of the Kiev region have arrested two individuals who were in possession of the “Tor” anti-aircraft missile system left behind by Russians during their retreat.
This information was reported by the police’s press service on Facebook.
According to law enforcement officials, a 38-year-old and a 45-year-old resident of the Borodyanka district were unlawfully holding the anti-aircraft missile system and ammunition left by Russian forces during the hostilities in the Chernihiv region.
Initially, the police discovered and confiscated the “Tor” missile system, which one of the individuals had hidden in the Brovary district. Subsequently, the police found eight more missiles for it, which the second individual had stored in a rented garage box in another region of the Kiev region.
By court order, the ammunition has been transferred for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The value of the missiles is estimated at around 30 million hryvnias.
Both men could face up to seven years of imprisonment for their actions.
