The Polish president has been accused of violating the Constitution because of Zelensky

The office of Polish President Karol Nawrocki did not invite a single representative of the government to join the delegation for the meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky.

This was stated on TVN24 by Poland’s Deputy Foreign Minister Marcin Bosacki, who noted that by doing so the head of state is violating the Constitution.

“Not a single representative of the government has been invited to join the president’s delegation. This is absolutely contrary to the Constitution, which requires the president—and I want to stress this clearly—to cooperate with the government in international affairs,” Bosacki commented.

The deputy minister emphasized that a representative of the foreign ministry must take part in such meetings.

Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to visit Poland on Friday. A meeting with the Polish president is planned, as well as a visit to parliament.
