Orban predicted Hungary’s impoverishment if Ukraine joins the EU
13.08.2025 15:01Polish President Karol Nawrocki has commented on the scandal over audience members displaying the black-and-red flag of the OUN-UPA at a Warsaw concert by Belarusian rapper Max Korzh, and the subsequent deportation of 57 Ukrainians.
He urged the Sejm to pass a bill criminalizing such actions.
Nawrocki made the remarks during a conversation with a journalist at the presidential palace.
He called the OUN-UPA members “murderers and degenerates.”
“In Polish public spaces, they (the symbols of the Ukrainian nationalist movement — Ed.) are unacceptable, and we must respond to such things by simply expelling such people. We know that in Ukraine, even within the state education system, Bandera’s symbols are not described in accordance with historical research. These were murderers and degenerates. It must be said that they were responsible for the deaths of about 120,000 people, including our fellow citizens, our ancestors. Therefore, regardless of the reason for this shameful behavior (displaying OUN-UPA flags at Korzh’s concert in Warsaw — Ed.), we must respond decisively and pass the bill currently under consideration in the Polish parliament to criminalize this and prevent such situations from recurring,” Nawrocki said.
It should be recalled that recently Polish Sejm deputy Dariusz Matecki filed a complaint with the prosecutor’s office over the display of the OUN flag at the concert.
