22.11.2024 18:13Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has warned of the “real risk of a global conflict.”
The Polish prime minister linked this to the Russian strike with a new ballistic missile on Dnipro.
“The war in the east is entering a decisive phase, and we feel that uncertainty is approaching. The conflict is taking on dramatic proportions. The last few dozen hours have shown that the threat is serious and real when it comes to a global conflict,” Tusk said.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz also described the Russian ballistic missile strike on Dnipro as a “dangerous escalation,” according to DW.
“The last escalation shows how dangerous this war is: Putin used medium-range missiles to strike Ukrainian territory. A frightening escalation,” said the German chancellor, also mentioning the deployment of troops from North Korea.
At the same time, Scholz reiterated that Germany does not intend to supply Taurus missiles to Ukraine, citing the desire to avoid NATO’s direct conflict with Russia.
It is worth recalling that yesterday, in his evening address, Putin suggested that strikes could be launched on NATO countries if “long-range” attacks on Russian territory continue.
