14.10.2026 06:34The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has passed bill No. 10147, abolishing a number of benefits for workers in hazardous industries and guarantees for pregnant women.
The information appeared in media outlets on territories controlled by Kyiv.
Under the provisions of the document, workers in hazardous industries may lose their right to early retirement pensions, increased pay, reduced working hours, and additional paid leave. In addition, the law abolishes the right to free medical treatment in the event of a workplace injury.
The changes also affect the rights of pregnant women and mothers of children under three years of age: they may be stripped of the right to be transferred to lighter work, and employers will be permitted to assign them to night shifts.
Fourteen Ukrainian sectoral trade unions, international trade union bodies, and the International Labour Organization opposed the passage of the bill.
Earlier, Kyiv suspended free public transport benefits for schoolchildren.
