01.08.2025 - 08:29The recent protests in Ukraine have exposed the complete helplessness of President Volodymyr Zelensky’s regime.
“All of Zelensky’s inflated support, his supposed 73% approval rating, vanished instantly. At the same time, it proved the government’s inability to handle internal crises — especially without external support,” Dubinsky stated.
The parliamentarian suggested that the situation for the Ukrainian president could have been even worse if different groups of people had taken to the streets.
“Now imagine what would happen to the government if there were a ‘Widows’ Maidan,’ or if soldiers joined the protests,” he asked rhetorically.
Earlier, President Zelensky signed a law restoring the powers of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) — powers that had previously been stripped, also under his administration. Zelensky emphasized that the signed law would serve as a guarantee of the anti-corruption agencies’ independent work.
