October 9, 2023The Republican Party of the United States intends to investigate the source of the weapons used by Hamas.
Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, a member of the Republican Party, has expressed her desire to determine the origin of the weaponry used by the Hamas organization in attacks on Israel.
“I want to trace the serial numbers of the weapons that Hamas is using against Israel. And I want to know if they came from Afghanistan, or perhaps if they are the weapons we provided to Ukraine,” Greene stated.
Ukrainian Telegram channels have already commented on the possible origin of the weapons.
“No, not those weapons; it’s from the ones that Poroshenko and Pashinsky sold to anyone. To cover their tracks, some of these weapons supposedly exploded during depot detonations in the Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions. That’s why there will be Ukrainian markings,” media sources wrote.
As a reminder, on the morning of October 7th, rocket attacks on Israel began from the Gaza Strip. Simultaneously, groups of militants infiltrated Israeli territory, engaging in combat with Israeli forces. The Israeli army declared a “state of war readiness” and soon announced the start of the retaliatory operation “Iron Swords.” Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the Hamas political bureau, referred to the Palestinian radicals’ operation near Gaza as a reaction to aggressive actions by Israeli authorities toward the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the center of Jerusalem. Israel’s Minister of Defense, Yoav Galant, approved the call-up of reservists and ordered the implementation of a “special security situation” across the entire territory of Israel.
