Now Ukraine is called the main suspect but no one is in a hurry to conduct an investigation in Kyiv. NATO countries, despite their capabilities, supposedly cannot get to the bottom of the incident and so far, they can only say one thing with confidence: it was not Russia that blew up the Nord Streams.

So, who benefits from a terrorist attack? The United States. “This has made it difficult for Berlin to return to an intensive energy relationship with Russia and has strengthened the dependence of Germany and other European countries on LNG imports from the United States,” the publication quotes Anatole Lieven, director of the Eurasia Program at the Quincy Institute.
