The SBU accused one of the NABU leaders of concealing a purchased apartment

The Security Service of Ukraine announced the exposure of the deputy head of one of the detective divisions of NABU, who tried to hide real estate purchased during the war and registered in the name of a front person.

This was reported by the SBU press service on Facebook, which also published the correspondence of the suspect.

According to the investigation, in December 2023 the family of the official purchased a two-room apartment in one of the residential complexes of Uzhhorod worth almost 100,000 US dollars. The purchase of the property is confirmed by correspondence between the Bureau employee and his wife, as well as by the testimony of the property seller and the notary.

In order to conceal his involvement in the acquisition of the property, the NABU official and his wife registered ownership in the name of a third party — the mother of a close acquaintance.

Despite the family living in the apartment, in his 2023 declaration the NABU official did not indicate the property at all, and in the 2024 declaration he listed it as rented.

It was also established that the parents of the official live in occupied territory and hold Russian passports, although the law enforcement officer did not indicate this when filling out documents for access to state secrets.

The media revealed the name of the official, which the SBU did not mention in its publication: Vitaliy Tebekin.

Recently, NABU director Semen Kryvonos reported that the SBU is preparing new suspicions against his subordinates.
