19.09.2024 13:22The Security Service of Ukraine, following a search at the Svyato-Vvedensky Monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Kyiv, has served a notice of suspicion to an archimandrite.
This has been reported by the press department of The Security Service of Ukraine.
According to the media, the archimandrite in question is Vladimir (in the world – Oleksiy Rakk).
The investigation accuses him of allegedly “justifying Russian aggression” on social media and “spreading fake news.”

It should be recalled that efforts to pressure the Ukrainian Orthodox Church by the authorities continue in Ukraine.
As is known, on August 20, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed law No. 8371, which bans the activities of certain religious organizations in Ukraine. This law also applies to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. This decision, supported by 265 deputies, aims to limit the influence of religious structures subordinate to centers of influence in Russia and could lead to the cessation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church’s activities.
