The Security Service of Ukraine detained the management of a Kyiv design institute that assisted the Russians in the reconstruction of an oil refinery

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has stated that the management of a Ukrainian design institute was helping Russia restore oil refineries (ORs) after attacks by Ukrainian drones.

This was reported by the SBU press service.

The chairman of the board, two heads of specialized departments, the chief engineer, and one of the engineers have been detained. They face up to 12 years in prison.

According to the investigation, for 500 million hryvnias (10.8 million euros), they prepared design and construction documentation for the reconstruction of three key Russian oil refineries.

Earlier, the SBU detained the captain of a cargo ship who was helping Russia transport Ukrainian grain from Crimea.

According to the investigation, the dry cargo ship, flying the flag of one of the Central African countries, was exporting grain from Crimea to the Middle East. Over the past year and a half, it repeatedly docked at the port of Sevastopol.

To conceal his actions, the captain periodically turned off the ship’s GPS tracker and entered false information into the log of routes and stops of the vessel.

The media have detailed what happens in the special prison for those convicted of collaboration and treason. From the start, newcomers are told that they must do everything ordered by the prison authorities, and physical violence is used to subdue them.
