The Security Service of Ukraine has arrested an additional four military commissars and heads of medical commissions

The Security Service of Ukraine has arrested an additional 4 military commissars and leaders of military medical boards who were profiting from evaders. The heads of regional military enlistment offices were detained in Kyiv, Odessa, and the Kharkiv region.

This was reported by the agency’s press service.

They were creating fictitious documents of unfitness for military service for conscripts. The cost ranged up to $10,000 per person. The amount varied based on the timeline of resolving the matters and the financial capabilities of the clients.

In Kyiv, the chief of the district military enlistment office and the head of one of the capital’s military medical commissions were arrested. Earlier, the State Bureau of Investigations (GBR) reported the apprehension of the head of the Podil Military Medical Commission.

In the Kharkiv region, the head of the district military enlistment office was detained, who had “earned” over 11 million hryvnias from potential draftees.

In Odessa, a scheme involving the secretary of a local military medical commission was dismantled.

Together with a lawyer from the capital and two accomplices, they had set up a large-scale distribution of counterfeit documents claiming unfitness for military service.
