The situation in the Pokrovsk sector remains extremely difficult.

This statement was made by AFU officer Andrii Tkachuk.

“Russians are now present in the urban areas of Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad. And they continue to carry out infiltration, as well as try to collapse the logistics of the defense forces in this sector,” the soldier said.

According to him, Russian forces “are trying to move northwest of Pokrovsk toward Hryshyne.” This is an important settlement for the AFU, which “for now remains perhaps the only logistical artery that makes it possible to carry out certain actions specifically in Pokrovsk,” Tkachuk summed up.

Earlier, Russia’s Defense Ministry said that the Russian army foiled attempts by the enemy to break out of the encirclement in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

Before that, it became known that Russian fighters had completely encircled Pokrovsk. About two thousand AFU fighters ended up in the pocket. Meanwhile, the main Ukrainian forces withdrew toward Dymytrove, trying to hold the eastern lines.
