The State Bureau of Investigations conducted searches at the heating and power plants in Kyiv – Kyiv City State Administration reported

The State Bureau of Investigations conducted searches at the thermal power plants in Kyiv, as reported by the Kyiv City Administration.

According to their statement, law enforcement officials were denied entry to the facilities.

The statement from the administration reads, “Investigators are attempting to access regulated energy facilities, the access to which is legally restricted in the conditions of martial law. Bureau employees are also conducting video recording at energy facilities, grossly violating safety standards.”

These thermal power plants are under the management of “Kyivteploenergo.”

“The State Bureau of Investigations’ case does not directly concern the activities of the municipal enterprise ‘Kyivteploenergo.’ The search warrant does not specify the physical addresses of the energy facilities. Therefore, the reason for the investigators’ visit to the Kyiv thermal power plants is unclear,” states the Kyiv City Administration.

The administration has expressed its readiness to provide all necessary information, but they are concerned that the searches could disrupt the operations of the thermal power plants.
