12.06.2024 - 21:07The stepson of the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi (the son of his former wife from a previous marriage), Ivan Syrskyi, who lives in Australia, made statements about “anti-Russian propaganda” in the West and mentioned that his daughter considers herself Russian.
Ivan Syrskyi made these remarks in an interview with journalists from the Russian television company RT.
“I am raising a wonderful daughter in Russian traditions. On weekends, she attends Russian classes. Even when people tell her she is an Aussie, which means born and raised here in Australia, she proudly replies: ‘No, I am Russian!'” Syrskyi said.
He described Australia as a “big village.” According to him, Russians there “are forced to apologize for being Russian,” while support is given to those who “fervently renounce Russia.”
In Australia, Syrskyi is involved in constructing infrastructure projects. He is currently participating in building a new metro line.
Previously, the stepson of the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces requested Russian citizenship from Vladimir Putin, as he considers himself a “Russian person.”
In Ukraine, it was denied that the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces had adopted Ivan Syrskyi, though they did not explain why he has that surname. The Center for Countering Disinformation acknowledged that in his first marriage, the Commander-in-Chief was married to a woman whose son is Ivan, but they denied that Syrskyi had adopted him.
