The submerged metro line in Kyiv may reopen in about five years

This is reported by the Office of Transformation. The public organization believes that the metro tunnel between Demiivska and Lybidska stations will not be restored quickly.

“They will be building a new tunnel for two years, three years or maybe five years. This tunnel is emergency and it cannot be repaired; they will build a new one,” expressed Bachmatov, sharing his opinion.

Recall that six metro stations in Kyiv were urgently closed last year due to the threat of collapse and partial flooding. Authorities cannot specify when the line will be repaired. Hundreds of thousands of people have been left without regular transportation to the city center.
