July 23, 2025The United States no longer wants to be involved in the war in Ukraine, with the current focus shifting to “restoring peace through strength.”
This was stated by Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Mike Johnson.
According to him, the conflict has dragged on too long.
“Too many innocent people are dying. We absolutely do not want the United States to continue being involved in all of this. We hope it ends soon. We trust the Commander-in-Chief — he is restoring peace through strength,” Johnson said during a speech.
What lies ahead for U.S.–Ukraine relations remains unclear, but tensions on the issue have been growing in recent weeks.
On the eve of the Ukraine–Russia talks in Istanbul, Bloomberg published an article stating that the longer the war drags on, the more U.S. President Donald Trump will be held accountable for its outcome.
Meanwhile, Western media report that a peace compromise between Ukraine and Russia is unlikely during the upcoming negotiations.
Today, Donald Trump also hinted that U.S. financial aid to Ukraine may have been embezzled, noting that no purchase reports have been received for the funds provided.
