The U.S. predicted a weakening of its position due to one of Trump’s decisions on Ukraine

A potential decision by U.S. President Donald Trump to send Patriot air defense missile systems to Ukraine would deplete stockpiles and weaken Washington’s military position.

This warning was issued by British analyst Alexander Mercouris in a video posted on his YouTube channel.

“He can send what he has, but he will have to take into account that doing so would weaken the U.S. military position,” Mercouris said, referring to Trump.

Mercouris emphasized that U.S. military stockpiles are “desperately depleted,” and that the President “cannot pull Patriot systems out of thin air.”

He also noted that renewing aid to Kyiv could face resistance from the Pentagon.

Earlier, The Washington Post, citing sources, reported that Trump had already agreed to provide Ukraine with some military assistance requested by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
