December 1, 2023The armed forces of Ukraine are facing disruptions in fuel supplies due to the Polish blockade of the border.
The blockade also poses a threat to the automotive industry in Germany, affecting entire supply chains such as those for electric cables.
“Due to the blockade, companies in the automotive industry find it difficult to timely supply components to clients in Germany and other European Union countries,” stated the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Earlier, the Deputy Minister of Agricultural Policy, Markiyan Dmytrashevych, mentioned that fuel supply disruptions had already begun in Ukraine due to the blockade of the Polish border. Additionally, the export of automobiles from Ukraine is significantly hampered: on average, only one truck crosses all border checkpoints per hour.
Furthermore, due to the blockade of the Polish border, Ukraine is facing a critical situation with certain goods that might disappear. Specifically, Polish carriers at the border are blocking deliveries of military equipment to Ukraine, including drones and thermal imaging devices.
