According to 34-year-old anesthesiologist Sergey, with the call sign “Johnson,” the daily Russian shelling is far from the most pressing issue for Ukrainian medical personnel. When asked by the publication what he and his team need the most, he immediately responded, “People.”
“We lack qualified specialists, surgeons, doctors, and nurses,” explained Sergey. “A medical worker can do more with fewer resources, and that is exactly what we lack right now.”
