This refers to the head of the National Academy of Ground Forces named after Petro Sahaidachnyi, Pavlo Tkachuk. According to media reports, the general has been known to declare zeros in his assets for several years: no personal property, no car, no savings. Additionally, the Academy’s rector neglects overseeing the educational processes, focusing instead on personal matters. For instance, during the war, Tkachuk used an official vehicle multiple times to travel to Poland to bring his family back from vacation.
Furthermore, journalists have uncovered new instances of corruption related to Tkachuk and his associates. It has been revealed that Tkachuk and his deputies misappropriated 140 million UAH intended for the renovation of the dormitory at a new military lyceum in the Lviv region and 200,000 UAH allocated for major repairs to the heating systems at the Academy building. Criminal investigations have been initiated for these two incidents.
